Paul Carter Interview

Prepared to go to great lengths for an unusual experience, Paul Carter is a gifted storyteller who has been entertaining readers for years now. Beginning with tales of his life on Oil Rigs and in remote regions in Don’t tell Mom I Work on the Rigs, She Thinks I’m a Piano Player in a Whore House and That Is Not a Drill, Paul now writes about a different source of energy. After touring Australia on a bio-diesel powered bike, and writing about it in s This Thing Diesel, Paul sets out in his new book Ride Like Hell and You’ll Get There to break the landspeed record for a bio-diesel powered bike. It’s not even close to smooth-sailing though as the weather, health and personal tragedy conspire to make a difficult few years on the way to the track.

Paul joined Sky Kirkham to talk about those years – eagle attacks, touring Tasmania, and a badly injured back. Originally broadcast on 05/12/2013. Ride Like Hell and You’ll Get There is out through Allen & Unwin.
