Queensland Literary Award People’s Choice

A new People’s Choice Award has been announced as part of the Queensland Literary Award. The award is worth $5000 (sponsored by the Courier-Mail) and voting opens tonight (27th July) on the Courier-Mail website. Nominees are:

Fiction
Simon Cleary – Closer to Stone (UQP)
Nick Earls – The Fix (Vintage)
Christopher Currie – The Ottoman Motel (Text)

Nonfiction
Patrick Holland – Riding the Trains in Japan (Transit Lounge)
Kari Gislason – The Promise of Iceland (UQP)
William McInnes & Sarah Watts – Worse Things Happen at Sea (Hachette).
